How to Find & Hire an Accountable Virtual Assistant Online

In the bustling world of remote work, finding a reliable virtual assistant has become essential for many businesses.

However, nearly every potential client of The Boutique COO (TBC) we speak to nowadays has had a (very) bad experience with virtual assistants before us.

Most of the frustrations they bring up from past experiences boil down to accountability - virtual assistants promise big results, but then don’t deliver what they promised.

These conversations have spurred me, Founder of TBC, to want to speak about how we approach accountability within our team at The Boutique COO.

More importantly, how I help ensure that you’ll experience a consistent, excellent experience no matter who you work with on our team.

Setting the #1 Standard for Quality

At TBC, our #1 priority is providing excellent, fair, and consistent service to everyone we work with.

This commitment to quality is the driving factor behind of everything we do—from forming our team to training them.

It's a passion that truly runs in our blood here at TBC.

How We Build Accountability into Our Virtual Assistant Team

Now, let’s talk about how we weave that accountability into our team and process.

1. Rigorous Hiring & Training Process for All Virtual Assistants

We have an extensive hiring and evaluation process. This rigorous pathway to onboarding and becoming a Virtual Assistant at The Boutique COO includes:

  • Reference checks

  • Several significant project evaluations

  • Training on our signature TBC style of support

  • Personal training with myself, Makena, Founder of TBC

We don’t guarantee that team members who get hired ever make it to work with clients. The goal is to weed out only the best of the best, so clients can feel confident their virtual assistant is capable and dependable.

In fact, only 3% of applicants make it through to working with clients.

2. Pod Structure for Enhanced Management

We organize our team of virtual assistants into "pods," each managed by some of our most experienced and dedicated team members.

These managers oversee the new virtual assistants and are actively involved in all client projects those VAs work on.

Setting up our virtual assistant business in this structure ensures that there is always a point of escalation available to clients so that we can maintain our high standard of accountability.

3. Incentives Aligned with Quality

We believe motivation is key to maintaining high standards.

That’s why our pay structure reflects this philosophy.

The Boutique COO virtual assistants have all their incentives (promotions, compensations, etc) directly tied to the outcome of your project.

This way, there is alignment to support your business and go above and beyond giving you the best quality support 100% of the time.
